How long does a full FBI or RCMP background check take with PremierePrints?
Our expedited end-to-end service is typically 16–18 days. Both include fingerprinting, courier shipping, the background report, apostille and return shipping — compared with 7-10 weeks if you handle it yourself.
How much does the service cost? Are there hidden fees?
Fingerprint cards are €100 for a set of two. The expedited end-to-end USA service is €550, and the expedited Canada service is €550. Both end-to-end prices are all-inclusive of government, courier and apostille fees — no surprises at the end.
Do you serve clients outside of Cascais and Lisbon?
Yes. We're based in Cascais but operate anywhere in Portugal, including Porto and the Algarve. Get in touch and we'll arrange the most convenient option for you.
Can I just get fingerprint cards if I'm not American or Canadian?
Absolutely. Our Fingerprint Card Service (€100 for a set of two cards) is suitable for multi-country applications. — we'll take a professional, accepted-first-time set of prints on the official card you bring or one we provide.
What if my prints get rejected for quality?
Our Fingerprint Quality Guarantee means we'll re-take the prints free of charge. Any associated re-shipping or FBI/RCMP re-processing costs remain the client's responsibility and are payable to PremierePrints.

Do I need an apostille on my background check?
Yes — most Portuguese immigration and residency processes require the FBI or RCMP background check to be apostilled (authenticated for international use). Our expedited end-to-end service includes the apostille in the €550 price, so the file you receive is ready to file.
